Since May 1, 2026, the student meal plan has been standardized at the national level and has evolved in terms of both price and composition, consisting of one main dish and two side items for €1.

This change leads to a standardization of the catering offer for non-student users (administrative or teaching staff from ministries).

As of August 1, 2026, the meal tray for all users will consist of one main dish and two side items.

Furthermore, the price of the meal will be adjusted to €8.65 excluding VAT (€9.52 including 10% VAT) for users affiliated with a ministry, and to €8.91 excluding VAT (€9.80 including VAT) for other users. This is intended to align with the average rate charged across the Crous network (réseau des œuvres) and to reflect the production cost of a meal.

In the cafeterias, items sold outside of social meal plans (which are reserved for students) will be offered to non-students with a difference of approximately 10% on the price excluding VAT applied to students.

These decisions, adopted by the Crous Board of Directors, aim to strike a balance between the pricing applied to different audiences and the catering offer. The latter maintains its full ambition of providing healthy, balanced, and sustainable food, particularly through the proportion of certified and organic products offered
