During the back-to-school “amphi” session, Emmanuel Duflos introduced the new staff whom we warmly welcome.
The presentation was a chance to take stock of the 6 strategic priorities for 2019 – 2024 with a particular point on the assessment of 2021/2022 actions.
For the 2022/2023 academic year, Emmanuel Duflos provided details of the objectives and priority actions to be carried out, with a focus on actions in terms of sustainable development and social responsibility.“Promoting an ecological and responsible transition” will be one of the major objectives for the 2022 – 2023 academic year with 5 themes:
- Sustainable mobility
- Encouraging the use and development of travel modes that reduce our carbon footprint and that of our staff and users.
- The use of a given means of transport must no longer be guided solely by issues of cost or speed, but also by its impact on the environment.
- Energy efficiency
- Reducing our overall energy requirement, all energy sources combined.
- The establishment operates in a context of low energy consumption, i.e. reducing its energy requirement by implementing technical solutions and by changing working methods.
- Reducing pollution and waste
- Transforming our working methods to effectively reduce our production of waste (waste prevention) of all types (“household”, food – e.g. from cocktails, or from our technological activity), promoting reuse and systematising recycling possibilities.
- Similarly, the establishment undertakes to reduce pollution situations and to systematise and optimise its treatment of polluting and hazardous waste.
- Improving quality of life
- Transforming our campuses to make them pleasant places to live and work for all their stakeholders: staff and users.
- The establishment seeks to contribute, within the limits of its scope of action, to giving all its stakeholders the means to live with dignity, to go about their studies with peace of mind, and to engage personally in a sustainable development approach.
- Diversity and inclusion
- Promoting diversity among both staff and students, and promoting this diversity in society.
- The establishment fights all forms of discrimination and all forms of harassment, and implements welcome/reception measures adapted to each situation encountered.
- It invests in local or national actions to promote the integration of everyone into society (such as social openness, the fight against “illectronism”, etc.)
Through work groups, an action plan for each of the themes will be proposed. These work groups will consist of 6 people including the facilitator and at least one student.
People who wish to get involved in these work groups are invited to register here before 19 September.
