Currently, digital technology is responsible for 4% of global greenhouse gas emissions, i.e., about 1.5 times more than civil aviation emissions. By 2025, the sharp increase in digital use could raise this figure to 8%. Faced with the climate emergency, the digital transition must imperatively integrate environmental issues.

To address this issue, EPALE France (European platform on training) is organising a web conference on 21 October at 10.30 a.m. entitled “Training to reconcile digital and ecological transition“. It will last 1h30 and will be hosted live by Emmanuelle Bastide, an RFI journalist.
