Maxime Durand and Stéphane Delebassé, graduates of ITEEM in 2019 and co-founders of BioDemain, presented their concept in the French TV show “Qui veut être mon associé ?” broadcast on Wednesday 19 January on M6.
The graduates’ goal is to help farmers with their organic conversion by selling products that are no longer conventional but not yet labelled Organic. A great initiative for facilitating the ecological conversion that attracted the interest of the jury: “I think what you’re doing is great. I’m blown away by your maturity, your vision and your dedication. Frankly, it’s amazing,” said one.
Maxime and Stéphane secured a financing package of €110,000 (against 5% of their company) from three investors, namely Marc Simoncini, Anthony Bourbon and Jean-Pierre Nadir. These so-called “mentors” will help the duo to continue their adventure in terms of support, advice and finance. “A very positive outcome” says Maxime, in addition to having had the chance to promote BioDemain with the general public, since nearly 2 million French people watch the show.
