For its 6th edition, the InnovaTech © Challenge, which is organised every year by the “Elles Bougent” association is currently being held remotely. The regional phase of the challenge took place on Thursday April 1 for the Hauts-de-France region and brought together 100% female teams to promote the engineering profession among women. After 5 hours of work in “hackathon” mode, the teams, made up of 6 members (2 high school girls, 2 students and 2 sponsors), had 10 minutes to present their project, divided into 5 minutes of pitch and 5 minutes of Q/A. The general theme this year was “the industry of the future” with many variations on offer.
The Jury Prize was awarded to the Albatros team, which includes Caroline Charreteur, a 2nd year student at the École Centrale Lille. Her teammates were Alice, a student at UTC, Jade and Héloïse, two high school girls, and Chloé and Cécile, two sponsors respectively at Vinci Construction and Thales.
Caroline explains their project: “We have chosen ‘the sustainable city’ and ‘transport of tomorrow’ as sub-themes, by working on using the energy released by planes during take-off and landing, thanks to a system of bladeless wind turbines placed by the sides of the runway. “.
Their project is selected for the National Grand Final which will be held remotely on May 6.
