On 11 October 2023, on the eve of the Forum Rencontre, the International and Academic Relations department and Centrale Lille Alumni co-organised, for the first time, a workshop dedicated to mentoring for international students currently on a dual degree at École Centrale de Lille.

Hosted by Delphine Przenioslo, head of the mentoring programme, the event was an opportunity to explain the ins and outs of the programme and answer questions from around twenty G1, G2 and G3 students from Brazil, China, Mexico, Chile, Spain and Germany.

Bruno Soares Zimmer, who has just completed his studies at Centrale Lille as part of a dual degree with the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), spoke as a mentee student and gave a concrete example of the benefits that mentoring brings specifically to international students during their studies at Lille, but also after they return to their home countries and graduate.

This workshop was held at a key moment when international students are beginning to shape their career plans, starting with the search for internships.
