Through the scientific mediation medal, the CNRS rewards women and men who put science at the heart of society and disseminate scientific information accessible to different audiences. Among the 2022 winners, the parity-equality unit of the CNRS Institute of Information Sciences and their Interactions (INS2I) was awarded for its “Women digital decoders” comic strip.

Pierre Chainais, University Professor at Centrale Lille and member of the INS2I parity-equality unit invites you to (re)discover this cartoon (see the article in the Point Com of 27 September 2021) which gives the floor to today’s women scientists, setting aside clichés, through 12 portraits. Published by CNRS Éditions at the end of 2021, the “Les décodeuses du numérique” comic book has already racked up nearly 12,000 copies sold or distributed.
