Altinnova, a French specialist in equipment and services for bicycle facilities, was co-founded in 2003 by Corinne Verdier and her husband, Julien Lefebvre, both graduates of the École Centrale de Lille in 2000. They imagine, design and manufacture bicycle shelters, car parks, service stations for cyclists, etc. Altinnova currently has around forty employees and works mainly with France and Europe.

For the first time in 2021, bicycle shelters will be deployed in the United States. These so-called “residential” shelters will be installed in parking spaces in city centres to make it more convenient for cyclists to park near their homes.

Altinnova is constantly renewing its product catalogue by working with local authorities and companies in different areas. “We respond in a personalised way to real needs thanks to our R&D, which allows us to be the market leader,” says Corinne.

Their company was born on the benches of the Ecole Centrale de Lille during the G1/G2 project activity, which enabled them to create their washing/inflation station for mountain bikes in collaboration with the Decathlon company. It was therefore natural that they decided to follow the needs of the market by creating innovative solutions.

Corinne says, “For me, the strength of the school is its openness as a multidisciplinary engineering school, because for three years you discover, you listen to each other, you are curious, and you naturally turn to a profession that you like”.
