A third year student at École Centrale de Lille, Rayan Hadj Bouzid worked for 4 months with a multidisciplinary student team (marketing, sales, communication and engineering) on the search for a viable ecosystem for start-up Annolys, supported by Amiens Cluster. For the purpose of developing a heat pump operating without electricity, the team opted for the industrial laundry sector, more specifically that of hospitals and nursing homes. They then proposed their means of communicating, their market positioning (via public tenders) and went on to seek funding.

“It was through my Business Creator channel that I heard about the competition, and the process appealed to me. In relation to my engineering training, this competition confirmed my idea of working in multidisciplinary teams. Everyone has some form of knowledge which they can contribute, and there is always something to be learned. It all boils down to working intelligently, listening to one other and taking the time to explain the different points so that the whole team moves forward at the same pace,” says Rayan.

Coached by Virginie Devaux from the Valorisation and Innovation unit of Centrale Lille, the team won a €1,000 cheque offered by the Denise & Norbert Ségard Foundation during the regional Eurasanté programme.

Gabrielle Tourte, third student at École Centrale de Lille, also participated in this edition in the SOLMOB team.
