In order to monitor the thesis programme, the doctoral schools are organising individual monitoring committees (Comités de Suivi Individuels – CSI).
The purpose of the CSI is to ensure the curriculum’s optimal implementation based on the doctoral charter and the training agreement. In an interview with the doctoral student, the committee assesses the conditions of the student’s training and the progress of their research. It makes recommendations and sends an interview report to the director of the doctoral school, the doctoral student and the thesis supervisor. In particular, it ensures that any form of conflict, discrimination or harassment is prevented.
The ENGSYS and MADIS doctoral schools organise one at the end of the first year, and another before a potential fourth year enrolment, while the SMRE doctoral school organises two, at the end of the first year and at the beginning of the third year.
Information on the committee’s operation, composition and organisation is available on the DS websites, as well as in the decree that defines the national training framework and the procedures leading to the issuing of the national doctoral diploma.
The Masters and Doctoral centre is at your disposal for any further information.
