Romanesco, an innovative company operating in the field of market gardening, has been awarded the 2023 “Grand Prix Moovjee” for its modular high-clearance straddle truck.
Based in Saint-Malo, Brittany, the company was co-founded by Félix Gaulier, a graduate of École Centrale de Lille in 2018, and Basile Gaulier, a graduate of the École Normale Paris-Saclay and the Sorbonne in 2021. The two brothers embarked on their adventure in March 2022, and since then their company has attracted a great deal of interest, winning a number of awards.
Their goal is to develop a modular market gardening “straddle truck”, i.e. a versatile agricultural machine intended to automate tedious manual tasks such as hoeing, weeding, sowing and pricking out. All of this by drawing on their scientific knowledge acquired during their studies to reduce the burden of a large number of tasks encountered by market gardeners. “We are delighted to be able to implement our idea for the benefit of market gardeners,” they explain.
The Moovjee Grand Prix highlights the company’s technological advances and commitment to improving working conditions in agriculture. Learn more here.
