The International Day of Women and Girls in Science, celebrated annually on 11 February, has been adopted by the United Nations General Assembly to promote full and equitable access and participation of women and girls in science.
This day is a reminder that women and girls play an essential role in the scientific and technological community, and that their participation must be strengthened. It also aims to open up opportunities and make science broadly accessible to younger girls.
Centrale Lille participates in the Cordées de la réussite (“Climbing together to success”) programme with several secondary schools in the region.
The Cordées de la réussite team seeks to allow young secondary school students to benefit from this day through testimonials from Women Researchers, Teachers, the BIATSS body and/or Young Future Graduates from the Institute.
Secondary school students are ready to welcome you on Monday 31 January and/or Thursday 3 February.
It involves visiting schools and devoting some of your time to present your learning path.
