This year, the candidates of the Centrale-Supélec competition spent 4 hours focused on a specific subject: the Japet exoskeleton, created by two Centraliens.

You may recall, Japet is a Lille-based start-up that is shaking up the world of health, thanks to the design and marketing of robotic medical devices – known as exoskeletons – that help preserve and restore the integrity of the human body.

Based in the EuraSanté technology park, Japet was created by two graduates from the École Centrale de Lille (2015), Antoine Noël and Damien Bratic.

The subject of the competition provides a perfect illustration of the biomechanical foundations inherent in the Japet approach, while showing what engineering can bring to everyday life. It took almost two years of work with two teaching researchers for this subject to reach students!
