For the third year running, the process of integrating Centrale Lille staff and staff in accommodation has been the subject of an operational review, involving internal stakeholders, to jointly initiate a continuous improvement cycle. This is a key process for the school: it has enabled us to hire almost 260 new staff in a controlled manner over the last three years.
Since the start of the 2020 academic year and up to the end of August 2023, nearly 80 new recruits have taken part in the satisfaction survey, giving their opinions on the overall quality of the integration process and that of each major stage. The 2022-23 results are very positive, reflecting the growing satisfaction of users over the last 3 years. Accordingly:
- 95% of staff are satisfied with the overall quality of the integration process, compared with 93% and 83% in previous years,
- 100% of staff are satisfied with the quality of preparations for the integration, compared with 90% and 88% in previous years,
- 95% of staff are satisfied with the quality of the induction day, compared with 91% in previous years.
Only satisfaction with the quality of the pathway after the induction day is not quite up to standard. After reaching 80% and 93% in 2020-21 and 2021-22 respectively, it fell back to 84% in 2022-23. Among the main reasons given by those polled are difficulties in getting to grips with the ENT and digital tools, and in finding correspondents and vocational documentation. Another point that is regularly raised by new arrivals is insufficient knowledge of the campuses and our buildings. Visits to the premises organised by the managers in the first few days after induction can easily remedy this.
Thanks to internal and external feedback, 11 new improvement actions have been added to the action plan, steered jointly by all internal departments (PRI, MLP, HR, COM, SST, software managers, etc.). The next progress review is scheduled for March 2024. In the meantime, if you have any ideas for improvements, by all means send them to .
