In order to consolidate its ambitions to become a key player in scientific excellence and innovation, Centrale Lille’s long-term objective is to create a complete innovation ecosystem integrating training and research. This ecosystem will contribute to the recognition of Centrale Lille’s activity at regional, national, and international levels.
Centrale Lille thus wishes to encourage the creation of start-ups by its students, researchers, and teacher-researchers and has therefore set up an aid fund for innovation and development actions.
The objective of this fund is to help students, researchers, and teacher-researchers of the school develop innovations likely to be the subject of a transfer and/or creation of a company, by means of financial support from the school.
This financial support should make it possible, for example, to:
- Materialise an innovative idea by producing a prototype.
- Develop a technology that could be used to create a company.
- Explore ways of commercialising research results.
The grants that may be awarded range from 500€ to 5000€ (including tax) within the funding envelope provided for in the budget.
Centrale Lille will launch four calls for applications each year starting in September 2021.
In order to deploy this aid fund, and to contribute to the school’s strategy, the Development and Innovation pole has been strengthened with the arrival of Anne-Valentine Duffrene as Development and Innovation Officer.
Anne-Valentine Duffrene will be responsible for setting up projects with all types of companies: services, collaborations, ANR or European projects (the latter in conjunction with the Research division). In this capacity, she is the perfect contact person of teacher-researchers and researchers wishing to set up new industrial collaborations.
Virginie Devaux, Head of the Development and Innovation pole, will be the dedicated contact for assistance in setting up and following up files relating to the fund for development and innovation actions.
