A decree dated 13 December 2022 extended the conditions for the awarding of the Sustainable Mobility Allowance (“Forfait Mobilité Durable” – FMD), applicable as of 2022.

The main changes concern the means of transport used:

  • For all of 2022: personal bicycle or pedal-assisted bicycle; carpooling driver or passenger.
  • For the period from 1 September to 31 December 2022: scooters, one-wheel scooters, gyropods, hoverboards, mopeds, motorcycles, bicycles or pedal-assisted bicycles, or motorised or non-motorised travel devices, leased or made available on a self-service basis; car-sharing service.

From 1 January 2022, the amount of the allowance is adjusted as follows:

  • €100 when the number of trips is between 30 and 59 days;
  • €200 when the number of trips is between 60 and 99 days;
  • €300 when the number of trips is at least 100 days

Another change is linked to the combined Sustainable Mobility Allowance (“Forfait Mobilité Durable” – FMD) and partial coverage of transport passes: indeed, as of 1 September 2022, the payment of the FMD can be combined with the monthly coverage of public transport passes or bicycle rental services.
