For the 2021-2022 academic year, Centrale Lille will welcome 45 new doctoral students, in addition to the 100 doctoral students already enrolled at the institution.

Centrale Lille is authorised to award the title of PhD and works with 3 doctoral schools:

  • ED 104 – SMRE: Material, Radiation and Environmental Sciences, covering the field of chemistry;
  • ED 631 – MADIS: Mathematics-Digital sciences and their interactions, dealing with theses in the fields of automation, computer engineering and signal and image processing, pure and applied computing and mathematics;
  • ED 632 – ENGSYSEngineering and Systems Sciences, covering the fields of electrical engineering, micro and nanotechnologies, acoustics and telecommunications and mechanics, civil engineering, energy and materials.

The Doctoral Schools are key players in the doctoral programme: they manage applications, set up doctoral training, validate thesis defence applications, organise individual monitoring committees, etc.

In order to fully understand the interactions between the different participants and know all the steps to be followed during a thesis, a guide has been written for doctoral students and their supervisors. It is available on the ENT, in the “Doctorates” tab.
