Providing sustainable value and satisfying all the institution’s stakeholders while optimising our internal resources is both the requirement of our assessment agencies (CTI, HCERES) and the commitment made by Centrale Lille as part of the Quality approach. To succeed in this commitment, several elements must be demonstrated by the way in which our processes function on a daily basis, including:
- user orientation to identify needs and expectations;
- building an efficient and robust inter-departmental value chain;
- controlled execution of our processes;
- checking the satisfaction of our users to continuously improve our quality of service.
However, the very concept of the processes often remains ambiguous for teams used to thinking in terms of departments, divisions and domains. In order to introduce this concept into our context, collaborative work on defining and documenting a first support process entitled “Human Resources Management” was carried out in 2021-2022. Its primary objective was to describe each process through self-questioning by the teams on the added value provided to users, the input elements and deliverables of the process, the key activities, and the means and resources available to them.
The result is an initial version of the Process Sheet which is available on the EDM system for the HR Management process. Above all, it provides a comprehensive and documented view of the process and will be enriched as and when necessary. In terms of actually managing the process, this work has led to the implementation of a dashboard along with the annual schedule that will serve to better monitor HR activities.
