Given the favourable progress of the SARS-CoV2 epidemic, three of the measures taken in the context of the health emergency are changing at the beginning of 2023:
- From 1 February 2023, the “jour de carence” (waiting day) becomes applicable again for all sick leave certificates issued to people who test positive for Covid-19.
- From 1 February 2023, systematic isolation for people who test positive for Covid-19 and testing on the second day of notification of the “cas contact” status for asymptomatic contact persons is no longer required. On the other hand, as with any acute respiratory infection disease, it is still highly recommended for people who test positive for Covid-19, as well as those who have been exposed to an infectious person and are likely to develop the disease, to respect safety precautions, get tested and avoid contact with vulnerable people.
- Enhanced protection measures, exemption from teleworking or special leave permits for vulnerable persons will no longer apply as of 1 March 2023
