123 million tonnes of CO2: this is what the building sector emits each year in France. And of course, this does not include emissions from industry, transport and digital technology.

In the age of climate change, how can we optimise our energy consumption? What energies should be favoured, invented or introduced into our mix? How can we design lean and efficient products and structures? How can we redevelop existing systems to achieve carbon neutrality?

Considering that it is involved right from the design stage of infrastructures, transport, buildings, industrial products, etc., engineering is key to the solutions that will allow us to speed up the energy transition.

Syntec Ingénierie is organising a competition aimed at designing an innovative engineering project that uses new technologies to achieve carbon neutrality. Participating teams must include students, and may involve researchers, professionals, start-ups, etc.
