The recent signing of the partnership with CGI, one of the world leaders in information technology and management consulting services, has prompted the launch of an Enterprise Modelling and Architecture (Modélisation et Architecture d’Entreprise – MAE) teaching chair for third year students at École Centrale de Lille.

In this context, a 450-hour training programme is provided to students in the third year of the MAE programme, in order to train leading engineers in digital transformation through the prism of Enterprise Architecture. The course, which kicked off on 20 September, welcomes 21 students.

The engineering students who follow this course will be able to meet the new needs of companies by drawing on a complementary vision of businesses and information technologies. They will thus be able to:

  • Understand and support the company’s various business lines,
  • Understand the strategic aspects and their applications in the adaptation of the processes of these businesses, and their interactions with the organisational and technological aspects of information systems,
  • Define, steer and orchestrate the company’s digital transformation,
  • Adapt to any environment and act as consulting architects for the company’s various functions,
  • Be proficient in all the components and phases of an IS life cycle (analysis, design, test, deployment, production, upgrade, management, etc.),
  • Drive the transformation of the organisations in which they will work.

More generally, the three-year partnership between Centrale Lille and CGI serves to consolidate the company’s commitment to students, right from the first year, in the sphere of digital transformation, coupled with the management consulting business led by CGI Business Consulting, the Group’s consulting entity.
