As part of a program to secure the school’s information system, from February 26, 2024, PRI will isolate in a dedicated network all pre-2017 computers that do not comply with security standards.
To identify these computers:
Their PRI numbers begin with a number lower than 17: 16-XXX, 15-XXX, etc.
And at least one of these conditions:
Either WithSecure antivirus is not installed
Or their operating system is no longer maintained ( any Windows prior to Windows 10, any MacOS prior to Monterey,… )
Once these computers are isolated they will no longer be able to communicate with other computers and servers on our network.
If you think you own such a computer and need access to the Internet, a networked printer or access from the network, you can open a support request ticket, and PRI will work with you to find the most secure solution. For example, updating your machine, providing you with a new one, setting up a secure access procedure, etc.
