The SAIC is a department of industrial and commercial activities whose vocation is to manage all the industrial and commercial activities of an establishment. It is the reference service for assisting researchers and teacher-researchers in the negotiation, legal and budgetary aspects of research contracts and services provided in conjunction with companies.

Periodically, a SAIC council brings together the Director General, the Directors of Research, Development and Innovation, the SAIC, the DGS and appointed members, research professors, for an exchange on key subjects relating to contractual activity such as the presentation of the budget, regulations and obligations in relation to the laboratory environment, good practices in terms of confidentiality and intellectual property, and the levers of the establishment’s policy such as profit-sharing on contracts.

The next SAIC meeting will be held on 2 December and will focus on:

  • Presentation of the budget,
  • Indicators, number of contracts signed and their financial amount over the year,
  • Regulatory issues or obligations in relation to the laboratory environment, other supervisory bodies,
  • Good practices in terms of confidentiality, intellectual property, advice on negotiation or valorisation, research tax credit, CIFRE thesis, etc.
  • Topics related to the institution’s incentive policy (such as contractual profit-sharing).
