Centrale IA is an association (under the French 1901 law) which aims to promote Artificial Intelligence and Data Science among all Centrale Lille students through training courses, meet-ups with professionals, data challenges and conferences.
A first conference will take place this Thursday 24 February 2022 at 6 pm in the Poirier lecture hall.
This conference aims to raise awareness by engaging clear debates on controversial and current topics relating to artificial intelligence. For this purpose, we will welcome three hand-picked speakers:
- Anis Ayari, Lead Data Scientist & AI Popularizer, who will talk about: “What exactly is Deep Learning? From theoretical foundations to opportunities and limitations.”
- Emmanuel Goffi, Co-director of the Global AI Ethics Institute, who will address the issue of ethics: “AI ethics: what is the reality behind the misleading words?”
- Victor Storchan, VP of AI and ML at JP Morgan, on the theme: “Can you trust Explainable AI? The practical challenges of AI explainability.“
The discussions will continue over a buffet in room B-014.
