ABORDAGE equipe

Everything is going well for ABORDAGE, the entrepreneurial adventure started in 2016 by Hugo Bâlon and Romain Méhay, both 2013 graduates of ITEEM, which continues to develop with the launch of their first helmet and their first “sacadoche” (backpack for luggage carrier) this June.
Bringing together their common desires and aspirations, Hugo and Romain started out as distributors of backpacks, then, quickly decided to expand their range by specialising in the world of cycling, to now “create and scout for equipment for city cyclists”.

Since 2018, Abordage has been incubated at Blanchemaille in Euratechnologies and benefits from specific support and the proximity of a network of professionals. With the motto: “City dwellers: on your bikes, leave your cars in the garage!”, they work on three main areas: price, product responsibility and style. They focus both on the technical side of the product and its aesthetic appeal, while contributing to the solidarity economy- production in Portugal and logistics carried out in France by the Papillons Blancs association, social integration through work for people with disabilities.

“We want to bring to the bicycle equipment market products that meet the demands of the urban cyclist. Therefore, we carry out surveys among our community in order to collect their ideas, their opinions and to identify what is really essential in the making of our products. In the last survey, we had several hundred participants. We are happy with the response and proud to be able to count on our community!” says Hugo.
