Chimie Shanghai (International Elite Engineering School) is a Franco-Chinese institute established between the East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST, Huádōng Lǐgōng Dàxué) and the Gay-Lussac Federation (FGL). The institute opened in 2019 as a follow-up to a cooperation programme initiated in 2009. Today, it has over 300 students, some of whom will obtain an engineering degree from one of the FGL schools after 3 years spent in France, while others will complete most of their course in Shanghai in a Chinese-French environment.
