The 2023 calendar for the grade promotion of teaching researchers can be viewed here. Reminder: you will find the conditions for applying for a grade promotion under common law below:
- To access the high category (hors classe) of senior lecturers:
Have reached the 7th normal category level and completed at least five years as a Senior Lecturer or Assistant Professor in active employment or in a secondment position.
- To access the exceptional new level of high category Senior Lecturer:
Provide proof of at least three years of actual service in the 6th high category level.
- To access the 1st category of university professors:
Be a 2nd category university professor.
- To access the exceptional category of university professors:
Have been a 1st category university professor for at least 18 months.
- To access the 2nd exceptional category level of university professors:
Have been a university professor at the 1st level of the exceptional category for at least 18 months.
These conditions must be met by 31 December 2023 for the 2023 session.
Furthermore, teaching researchers cannot be promoted if they are kept in office as surplus staff.
