Following the adoption of the European regulation on the extension of sanctions against Russia, the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Recovery has sent a data sheet to public administrations to explain its measures which seek to ban Russian publishers from public procurement. Concerning IT security, Kaspersky, an antivirus solution used by many higher education institutions – including Centrale Lille, is part of this framework.

Consequently, all orders placed on the current market containing references from this publisher must be done anew in order to migrate to another antivirus solution.

The Kaspersky license is valid up until June 14 inclusive, whereupon all computers still running Kaspersky may receive security alerts.

The IT resources department is currently testing a new antivirus solution, F-Secure.

Once the tests have been completed, this new solution will be deployed automatically and transparently, via the FusionInventory application (application present on the computers used to inventory and maintain the installed base) on all the workstations on which the Kaspersky software was previously installed.

Once this change has been made, the icon will indicate the presence of the antivirus on the computer.

For computers on which Kaspersky is not currently installed, those persons concerned must request the installation of the antivirus from the PRI via a GLPI ticket.

Reminder: the current context constitutes an even higher risk of cyber- attacks in France and in all European countries, which is why all these countries have increased their alert levels. The safety of our work tools is the responsibility of each and every one of us.
