Temporary access to the body of university professors was created by decree no. 2021-1722 authorising Centrale Lille to implement a body promotion operation. By ministerial order, Centrale Lille benefits from the possibility of promotion for 2021.

The select board of directors of Centrale Lille unanimously voted to choose section 61 for this internal promotion operation.

The personnel concerned by the Repyramidage are the “classe normale” and “hors-classe” lecturers who hold an authorisation to supervise research, governed by decree no. 84-431 of 6 June 1984. For holders of the so-called “1st grade” (i.e. “classe normale“), a condition of ten years of actual service in the grade is added.

The application campaign is open from 22 March 2022 (10 am Paris time) to 21 April 2022 (4 pm Paris time).

As with promotions to a higher grade, eligible lecturers must submit an application for promotion to the bodies of university professors. It includes a cover letter and the activity report provided for in article 7-1 of the decree of 6 June 1984, all to be submitted on the ministry’s server via the Galaxie/ELECTRA module.

In accordance with the Ministerial Management Guidelines, the select board of directors and the competent section of the CNU each give an opinion on each candidate’s file with regard to both their professional aptitude (their current activity) and their professional experience (their past activity). In both cases, the educational investment, quality of scientific activity and involvement in tasks of general interest are assessed. The two bodies will issue an opinion (very favourable, favourable, reserved) for each candidate on each of these three items.

To enlighten the opinion of the select board of directors, two university professor reviewers will be appointed to examine the candidates’ files.

A hearing committee, composed of the Director General or their representative, three members of the body of professors, at least two of whom are chosen from among the specialists of the discipline concerned, and who may be external to the establishment, will hear up to four candidates who will have received the most favourable opinions.

The proposed appointment must be communicated by the institution to the ministry no later than 14 December 2022.
