For the third consecutive new academic year, the COVID virus is still present. Please read the instructions to be followed in the event of a positive test.
We remind you that, in the event of a positive test leading to absence from work, it is essential to immediately inform your line manager and the Human Resources Department ().
When you are required to self-isolate, and when teleworking is not possible, a certificate of isolation (“attestation d’isolement” – available on the French health insurance website) or notice of sick leave (“arrêt de travail”) must be sent to the Human Resources department. Until 31 December 2022, sick leave notices related to COVID do not authorise the application of the so-called “jour de carence” (waiting day). To implement the exemption from the waiting day, you must send the result of your positive test along with your sick leave notice.
Since 1 August 2022, France’s Special Leave of Absence scheme for parents forced to look after their child(ren) due to COVID (without being able to telework) has ended. Consequently, staff members concerned shall justify their absence either by requesting an absence authorisation for sick children, subject to submitting a medical certificate, or by requesting leave.
The Human Resources Department is at hand for any further information you may require on this subject.
