The 9th edition of the Village de la Chimie en Nord / Pas de Calais, which took place on 18 April 2024 at ENSCL, was a resounding success.
Co-organised with France Chimie Nord / Pas de Calais, the event attracted more than 500 students from 11 regional high schools*, who came to find out from professionals in the chemicals sector about the careers and training available.
The day’s programme included :
- Exchanges with the region’s chemistry teaching establishments: Formasup, the IUT de Béthune, the Faculté des Sciences Jean Perrin de Lens – Université d’Artois, the Lycée Léonard de Vinci de Calais, the Lycée Gustave Eiffel d’Armentières, the ENSCL, AFi24, the Lycée Cousteau de Wasquehal, the Lycée de l’Escaut de Valenciennes, HEI, the IUT de Lille and the Université de Lille – chemistry department.
- Career discovery” stands with companies from different sectors: ADM SIO, KUHLMANN, BOSTIK, INEOS and CRODA.
- Various experiments in the practical rooms carried out by our many students present throughout the day
- Fun activities, VR headsets and a quiz with 6 gift vouchers worth €50 donated by France Chimie NPC.
Thank you to all the teams who contributed to the success of this event and to the promotion of ENSCL. Thanks also to the committed teachers and students who enthusiastically passed on their passion for chemistry to new generations.
