The procedure for submitting applications for qualification as a lecturer or university professor will begin on Tuesday 15 October 2024.

This year, the timetable for the qualification campaign has been simplified and adapted to take account of the roll-out of the new ODYSSEE management application, which will replace the GALAXIE/ANTARES application.

You will find below the dates for the 2025 qualification campaign:

For all applicants, the opening date for submitting their applications is 15 October 2024. The deadline for finalising the submission of the application file, including the compulsory documents, varies according to the date on which the candidate’s thesis was defended:

For defences held up to and including 22 November 2024: the deadline for finalising the application is 6 December 2024;
For defences held between 23 November 2024 and 10 January 2025: the deadline for finalising the application file is 17 January 2025.

Tenured lecturers and equivalent tenured teacher-researchers do not have to apply for qualification as a university professor.

You will find here the list of supporting documents that candidates must produce in order to qualify for their degree.

Candidates are advised to prepare their applications well in advance, having each of the constituent documents at their disposal, and to submit them as soon as possible, and without waiting for the deadline, in the ODYSSEE application, without forgetting to ‘validate’ their application so that it can be sent to the DGRH for examination. Hyperlinks to works, books or articles are not permitted; only documents submitted in digital format (PDF) will be accepted.

Candidates are invited to consult the Galaxie information portal at the following address

Before finalising their application, applicants are also invited to consult the criteria and recommendations of the sections of the Conseil national des universités (CNU) published on the CNU website at the following address: https://www.conseil-national-des-universites.fr.

In the event of difficulties, applicants may contact the DGRH by e-mail at for non-health sections.
