In addition to the 1.5% increase in the index point and the index rescheduling of civil service categories C and B on 1 July 2023, the French Minister of Public Sector Transformation and the Civil Service announced, in June 2023, the payment of an exceptional purchasing power bonus for civil servants linked to the inflationary context.
This bonus is reserved for staff who received gross pay of €39,000 or less between July 2022 and June 2023 (detailed information – in French – on the rules governing eligibility for this bonus is available on the Service Public website by clicking here).
Of the 392 agents recruited or in post during this period by Centrale Lille, 207 benefited from this bonus, which was paid in the November 2023 payroll. These national measures, which are only partially compensated by the State budget, represent a real effort on the part of the institution.
And yet, it decided to complete the support package by paying all its staff an exceptional bonus, this time as part of their December pay. To qualify, you must be an agent of the institution in 2023, either on a permanent or contractual basis, including all or part of December of that year. The bonus, amounting to 130 euros net, will be prorated according to the number of hours worked and the length of time the staff member has actually been with the institution in 2023.
