Session 1 of the UVED (Université Virtuelle Environnement et Développement Durable – Environment and Sustainable Development Virtual University) MOOC, entitled “Climate change: impacts, mitigation and adaptation”, is open until 30 June 2024.
Teaching content is already available. It will help you understand what is meant by the “climate system”, identify the different greenhouse gases and their sources of emission, understand to what current climate change and extreme events are attributed, and discover climate models, scenarios and projections.
The session will be followed by a discussion on the effects of climate change on terrestrial and marine environments, the vulnerability of human societies to climate change, and the need to step up regional adaptation.
