Centrale Lille now practices differentiated management, which is a management method that takes into account the specificity of each green space. No more mowing everything! Each green space is approached with its specificities while respecting biodiversity.

The underlying purpose is to:

  • promote biodiversity;
  • highlight different atmospheres;
  • develop the cultural and social dimension of green and natural spaces;
  • raise awareness of eco-citizenship.

You can already see this approach in certain green spaces, left to grow and bloom as nature intended, next to the administration car park, in front of building C, alongside buildings B7 and D…

Bird nest boxes and insect hotels will also be installed near these areas to protect micro-wildlife and enable bird nesting.
