8,920 km cycled by the “Centrale Lille” team!

This year, the Centrale Lille cycling team was made up of 26 participants who cycled a total 8,920 km throughout May. This challenge pits together different schools, universities, companies and associations that must rack up the most kilometres by bike for daily trips, whether by going to work, school or shopping.

In 2023, Centrale Lille placed 8th out of the 62 schools registered in the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) and 14th out of the 206 schools registered (in 2022, the school placed 17th). The University of Lille came 1st with more than 36,000 km travelled.

To congratulate our athletes who pedalled throughout May, prizes offered by the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL) will be given to the team (by ranking and by drawing lots). Xavier Cimetière invites all members of the team to gather in front of the main entrance of Centrale Lille on Wednesday, June 7 at 12:20 p.m.!
