Wednesday 10 May saw the final of the public speaking competition, organised by the Centrale Talks association. This third edition was a great success, with five candidates from École Centrale de Lille who brilliantly defended their points of view on complex and varied subjects:

  • Amandine Goracy: “Should we mourn the dead?”
  • Clément Mahoume: “Optimism is a moral duty”
  • Augustin Thépaut: “Communicating without words”
  • Vong Hi: “Words don’t need a destination”
  • Paul Cazaux: “Are we responsible for our creations?”

At the end of this verbal joust, Augustin Thépaut was appointed the winner and awarded a prestigious work of literature: the original highlighted manuscript of Alice in Wonderland, graciously offered to the association by Les Editions des Saints Pères.

Congratulations to all the participants for their performances; they made the jury’s decision a difficult one!
