Launched in 2013 by Science Po Lille, Centrale Lille and IEMN, the Scientific PEI is a programme that aims to help French secondary school students prepare for higher education: preparatory classes, grandes écoles, universities, etc. It is aimed at final-year students who have chosen scientific specialities, from modest backgrounds, and who are curious and driven by the desire to succeed in their studies.

Throughout the year, secondary school students are supported to work on a topic related to nano-technologies. They are mentored by student tutors and reference teachers from Centrale Lille.

The programme ended on Thursday 14 April during a closing day which brought together all those involved around the presentation of the work carried out, and dedicated workshops. The jury deliberated and awarded a prize to four winning groups.
