monmaster.gouv.fr, the new platform for students registering for their first year in a master’s programme, has been open since 1 February 2023.
This new platform was announced in the autumn of 2022. It is intended to optimise the allocation of places, streamline procedures and allow better visibility of vacancies within institutions.
monmaster.gouv.fr replaces the trouvermonmaster.gouv.fr portal, created in 2017, which only listed all national master’s degrees. Students then had to apply directly to universities via their respective registration platforms.
Benefits for students on monmaster.gouv.fr:
- a single application to apply for various master’s degree programmes,
- 15 requests per grade possible (no hierarchy),
- 15 further requests for work-study master’s degrees
- a single national calendar.
Note: this procedure does not concern applications from students under the Etudes en France (Studies in France) procedure.
Calendar for applications
- 1 February 2023: opening of the platform.
- 22 March – 18 April: candidates submit their applications according to a schedule common to all institutions.
- April 24 – June 16: applications reviewed by the institutions.
- 23 June – 21 July: admission phase during which places not selected by candidates are redistributed, as with Parcoursup. A candidate cannot accept two proposals simultaneously. Applications may be reviewed until September.
- Up until 30 September, candidates who accept a proposal may register administratively in the corresponding institution.
