The Centre for Direct Scientific Communication (Centre pour la Communication Scientifique Directe – CCSD), which hosts and develops the HAL database, recently set up a new, very affordable training course to help researchers submit their publications in HAL. This training includes a flash video lasting less than 5 minutes which summarises everything you need to do, and how to do it. For those still with any doubts about HAL, doubt no longer!
Access to the platform: https://www.ccsd.cnrs.fr/formations/ and more information here.
At the same time, a new, more intuitive online interface based on user feedback has been deployed for the open archive. This interface involves a complete overhaul of the user experience for submitting publications, to make it faster and simpler, but also of the other functions on HAL, such as CVs. To activate it, nothing could be more straightforward: just click on the top left of the web page.
If you have any questions, by all means contact the #HAL Ambassador.
