The decree no. 2022-334 of 8 March 2022, published in the Official Journal of 10 March 2022, implements the provisions of law no. 2020-1674 of 24 December 2020 on research programming (LPR) for the years 2021 to 2030.

Pursuant to Article 47 of the LPR, this decree will implement a retroactive provision for lecturers appointed in their bodies before its effective date. At their request, “classe normale” staff may benefit from a reclassification proposal based on the application of the new classification methods. They may submit a reclassification request within nine months of 10 March 2022 (i.e. the date on which the decree was published)

As a result, Senior Lecturers appointed before 11 March 2022 and classified in the “classe normale” grade on that same date may benefit from a potentially more favourable reclassification. Applicants must justify, by any appropriate means, the nature and duration of the services to be considered. Senior lecturers who still had the “stagiaire” (trainee) status on 10 March 2022 are also affected by these new provisions.

These members of staff must send a mail to notifying the request to change their classification, with the necessary supporting documents, before 9 December 2022 at the latest.

After considering the services of the interested parties in accordance with the new classification procedures, the human resources department will send them a proposal for a new classification. The interested parties will then have a period of two months to make known their decision, i.e. whether they wish to maintain their present status, or benefit from this new classification.

The duration of the services performed between the date of recruitment and the first day of the month following the entry into force of the decree of 8 March 2022 (i.e. 1 April 2022) is taken into account within the limit of one year.

The reclassification takes effect on 1 January 2021.
