As announced in the Point Com of 20 June 2022, this year, ITEEM is launching a new final-year profile in the form of a teaching chair with the mc2i consulting firm on digital transformation.
The programme of this new “Transformation Engineer” profile has been devised to train engineers committed to responsible transformation. The profile, developed jointly by ITEEM and mc2i, represents an overall volume of 256 hours, and will accommodate 8 students for this first year.
The ITEEM-ers who follow this profile will learn about the different types of transformation (organisational, digital, business models, processes, working methods, platformisation logics, etc.) in increasingly complex environments (climate, sovereignty, GDPR, cyber threats, etc.). They will also acquire fundamental skills in terms of user experience management, continuous improvement, process optimisation, agile methods, quality approaches and change management, while putting humans at the heart of these transformations. Among the professions targeted by these students: transformation engineer, transformation agent, project manager, engineer specialised in industrial processes, data scientist, etc.
The mc2i firm’s involvement in the chair goes far beyond co-developing its programme; it is also involved in overseeing and conducting the training. In particular, mc2i will be sharing and adapting educational content initially intended to train its employees via mc2i University (design thinking, change management, facilitation techniques, etc.).
A development committee has been created to guarantee the educational quality of the chair’s programme through a continuous improvement approach.
“The creation of this new profile responds to the new complexity of the economic, environmental and organisational challenges of industries, the skill needs expressed by companies, and the aspirations of the young generations trained in our school” explains Hervé Camus, Director of ITEEM and member of the Chair’s development committee.
“With ITEEM, we wanted to create a teaching chair that prepares students to support and then manage transformation projects for large companies. For this, they will need to use their engineering and managerial know-how as well as their personal skills. This will place them at the heart of these undertakings, which are human more than anything else. As an engaged company and a creator of vocations, mc2i seeks to take up the major digital challenges alongside ITEEM in order to make the digital revolution a positive transformation“, adds Matthieu Jouvin, Associate Director mc2i (ITEEM 2010) and member of the Chair’s development committee.
