UNESCO is launching a global call to identify individual, institutional, regional, national and international practices in opening up access to scientific research results and data.
A UNESCO recommendation, presented as a “normative instrument” and accompanied by a universal definition of the concept of open science, was adopted unanimously by the 193 Member States last November.
