As part of the mathematics conference organised by the National Institute of Mathematical Sciences and their Interactions (INSMI) of the CNRS, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, two challenges are open to the mathematical community:
- the “Dissemination of mathematics” challenge,
- the “Mathematics 2030” challenge.
Dissemination of mathematics
For the Dissemination of mathematics challenge, institutions may suggest various actions: a book, an exhibition, a film, a web application, etc.
One action will be selected by a dedicated jury and rewarded with a grant of at least €25,000 paid to a public research institution.
The deadline for filing contributions is midnight 1 October 2022.
Mathematics 2030
The Mathematics 2030 challenge is a call for proposals on mathematics to make headway in one of the ten challenges of the France 2030 plan.
The French State’s France 2030 plan aims to develop industrial competitiveness and the technologies of the future in order to “better understand, live and produce”. Mathematics are a major tool for the success of this plan and the 2030 mathematical challenge invites France’s mathematical community to participate in the achievement of these objectives.
A project will be selected by a dedicated jury and rewarded with a research grant of at least €25,000 paid to a public research institution. The CNRS will support this project by awarding a thesis grant to a doctoral student who must be assigned to one of the INSMI research structures. If none of the members of the winning team belong to such a structure, INSMI will provides the winning team with structures capable of accommodating the doctoral student.
The deadline for filing contributions is midnight 1 October 2022.
