Industrial chairs serve to the strengthen research and development capacity in a public-private partnership, for the benefit of innovation, attractiveness and the transformation of mainland France. Since 2017, the “Industrial Chairs” call for proposals has served to distinguish 10 chairs in the Métropole Européenne de Lille (MEL – Lille European Metropolis).

The 2022 edition is open on an ongoing basis and projects can be submitted continuously to the MEL (). Projects will be examined within the following deadlines (for information purposes only):

  • Submission on 13 May 2022 at 12 noon, for presentation to the Metropolitan Council in June 2022;
  • Submission on 31 August 2022 at 12 noon, for presentation to the Metropolitan Council in October 2022;
  • Submission on 28 October 2022 at 12 noon, for presentation to the Metropolitan Council in December 2022 (subject to financial availability).

As a reminder, financial support from the metropolis can total up to €300,000 over 3 years, to ramp up research and innovation.
