Each year, the Union of Teachers of Scientific Preparatory Classes (UPS) offers training actions aimed at CPGE (preparatory classes for the Grandes Écoles) teachers through the LIESSE working group.

In the past, Centrale Lille has already offered 2 training courses, the first on subject of “Multiphysical micro- and nano-systems: pairing physical systems and the potential of micro- and nano-technologies as sources of new functionalities and innovation in micro- and nano-systems engineering”; and the second on the subject of “Turbulence: deterministic, but random and worse than chaos”.

In keeping with the reform of French secondary schools, the programmes of the scientific CPGEs have evolved. As the official programmes have been published, the LIESSE group has identified the training needs of CPGE teachers, in particular in IT, and is asking higher education institutions to offer internships on these themes.

The needs are split into 4 different areas:

  • Creation of a new MPI (Mathematics, Physics and IT) line where IT will play an important role, with an ambitious programme;
  • Modification of the IT programme in terms of the common core (all sectors);
  • Modification of the programme of the IT option in MP;
  • Introduction of digital capabilities in other subjects.

Internships related to the TIPE (supervised personal initiative work) theme may also be offered. For the 2022-2023 academic year, the theme proposed is “the city”.

Here you will find details of the requirements for each preparation line to help you in the construction of an internship proposal. Courses can be organised over one or two days, ideally face-to-face. It is also an opportunity to make our training known to teachers who are very often the influencers of our future students.

If you are interested or if you have ideas on other topics to propose, by all means contact the Communication Department which will support you in organising the internship.
