A conference entitled “For responsible research and innovation” was organised on 15 January 2021 to characterise the sustainability of research and innovation activities, based on the overhaul of the SD & SR guidelines of higher education, research and innovation institutions – a tool designed by and for its users to promote the ecological, social and ethical actions of researchers, teachers, students, administrative staff, departments, etc. in all areas of the institution’s social responsibility.

Attended by more than 3,500 people, this conference highlighted a community of interest in socio-ecological issues. In order to go further, the aim is now to fuel debate based on feedback from laboratories. For this purpose, a series of webinars entitled “My laboratory as a player in sustainability and social responsibility” will be organised at a rate of 1 hour every two months.

These webinars are intended for all research professions within laboratories: researchers, doctoral students, managers, engineers, technicians, laboratory management team, etc.

If you are interested in this series of webinars, you are invited to complete a short questionnaire online.

The first webinar in the series will take place on 2 February 2022, 1pm – 2pm and will focus on the following topic: “Energy savings in teaching and research buildings”, based on the example of the University of Bordeaux.
