Each year, the MediaRH Trophies reward start-ups proposing an innovation applicable to human resources. At the end of November, the awards ceremony once again highlighted the incredible diversity of HR innovations, including Olecio, a start-up co-created in 2021 by Sébastien Levy Prudent, a 2005 graduate of the École Centrale de Lille, which was distinguished by receiving the first HR Innovation 2021 Prize. Olecio stood out from the 43 other start-ups that day and won over the jury, which was made up of Sarah El Haïry, Secretary of State for Youth and Commitment, Patrice Begay, Executive Director of BPIFRANCE, as well as specialised journalists and human resources professionals.
A specialist in the world of employment and training, Sébastien co-developed the Olecio platform to offer an innovative online content service contributing to the development of employability for all audiences, especially the least qualified. “Last March, I had the opportunity to start this project of social and solidarity commitment to highlight the aids and approaches that are still too little known by the public. Our wish is to select entertaining and educational content on a single platform to open up future prospects for everyone,” says Sébastien.
Thanks to his engineering training, which he believes favours open-mindedness, understanding of technical aspects and an appetite for the complexity of projects, Sébastien quickly worked on computer modelling around social issues and in particular the discovery of the world of training and consulting. Today, Olecio responds to a social ambition with an ethical economic model, by offering a site that is entirely free and accessible to all.
The start-up wishes to continue to develop rapidly with a new, more community-based and gamified version. By the end of the year, Olecio will have a dozen people working on the platform and a research and consulting component on public employment policies.
