Centrale Lille’s new “ERC Booster” scheme is designed to support and give the best chances of success to Centrale Lille’s faculty members who are potential candidates for ERC – European Research Council grants (details of the scheme here).

For its first call, Centrale Lille received 5 applications: 3 applications for the “Short-Term” support and 2 applications for the “Mid-Term” support.

At the end of the selection process, the winners of the ERC 2021 Booster are:

  • Ms Cécile GHOUILA-HOURI (Mid-Term) who proposes a project on new concepts of micro-sensors and micro-actuators based on nanomaterials and thermo-acoustic nanostructures for aerodynamic flow control.
  • Mr Vincent MAURICE (Short-Term) whose project aims to propose breakthrough miniaturised atomic devices for applications in neuroscience, telecommunications, or autonomous navigation systems.

Their next step is to apply for ECR grants.

Please note that the second Centrale Lille “Booster ERC” call for applications will be launched in March 2022.
