Scientific scenarios on climate, biodiversity and resource evolution remind us that for the great transition of this century the key word will be moderation. Because the Low-Tech approach can make this possible, it is necessary to consider its application in an industrialised and tertiary region.

As part of the RITES project, a first “Low-Tech Meeting in Hauts-de-France” will be held at Centrale Lille on Thursday, July 1, from 2 to 5 pm.

This first meeting will focus on three themes.

  • agreeing on a common definition of low-techs
  • identifying low-tech players and getting to know them better
  • Defining work areas for regional low-techs.

These meetings are aimed at all those interested in the low-tech approach, whether for technical, scientific, practical, economic, or sociological reasons. Academics, committed citizens, entrepreneurs, employees concerned by the theme of transition: we can all pool our energies to develop together the field of low-techs in the Hauts-de-France region.
